The community of Saint Elizabeth Seton parish began twinning with the parish of Saint Anne in Saintard, Haiti in March 2001. Saint Anne Church, established in 1958, is a parish of about 3000 people, located on the coast just north of Port-au-Prince. Saint Elizabeth Seton Church holds this annual event to raise money for food, maintenance and upkeep to Saint Anne church and parish. It is a 5K, USATF sanctioned race which starts on Brook Street and ends in the Church parking lot. Last Year runners and walkers came out in record numbers, totaling more than 300 strong, and spent the last day of summer participating in the Sixth Annual Hoof It For Haiti 5K Run and Walk-a-thon, sponsored by Rocky Hill’s St. Elizabeth Seton church, Saturday, Sept. 21. The morning started with the first-ever Kids Run for ages 12 and under before participants thronged Brook Street for the 2.5-mile Fun Run/Walk and the 5K Run/Walk
